A relaxed-fit hat (longer than a beanie, but not super slouchy) that looks wonderful in solids and semi-solid yarn. Stretchy pattern give a cozy fit.

Hat can be knit in either aran weight yarn OR worsted weight. Uses two colors; go for low contrast for a subtle effect or bold for a lot of zing! Or, you could knit the entire hat in a solid color.

Part of a series of aran weight hats: Monona, Mendota, and Midvale.

One size for either weight yarn: 22” circumference

Yarn: 1.75 oz color A, 1.5 oz color B; worsted or aran weight yarn
Needles: US 5 & 7 for worsted, US 6 & 8 for aran
