Family isn’t always blood.
I designed this beanie for one of my son’s “Grandmas” for Christmas 2021. While not biologically related to us, Grandma Molly treats my son just as she would her own grandkids. And we absolutely love her as well. I think it’s fitting that the very first design I make is for someone so special.

Size: Adult Small, Medium and Large - intended to be worn with 3-6 inches of negative ease. Adult Small shown on 22 inch head circumference.

Dimensions: 16 (20, 24) inches / 40 (50, 60) cm circumference, and 7 (8, 9) inches / 18 (20, 23) cm height.
Yarn: Malabrigo Rios (shown in Sabiduria) – 100% Superwash Merino Wool Worsted, 210 yd (192m) or 210 yards (192m) of worsted superwash merino wool.

Tools: US 8 (5mm) 16 inch/40 cm circular needles and double pointed needles (or any preferred method for small circumferences).
Crochet Hook 5.5mm for provisional cast on

Gauge:
4x4 inches (10x10 cm) in stockinette - 18 stitches and 28 rows.
Row Gauge for Cable: 16 (20, 24) inches / 40 (50, 61) cm unblocked.
