Killa Socks
Killa Socks are the perfect everyday socks — simple, comfortable, and incredibly satisfying to knit.
Worked toe-up using the magic loop method (with easy adaptation for DPNs), this pattern is especially perfect for multicoloured and leftover yarns. The heel construction is worked mostly in the round, allowing the colour changes to flow naturally without dramatically breaking up the yarn patterning, making self-striping and speckled yarns truly shine.
The pattern also looks beautiful in solid colours, especially when paired with contrasting cuffs, heels, and toes.
Killa Socks feature a comfortable heel construction with increases worked in the round, followed by German short rows for a well-shaped and secure fit. The toe-up construction also allows you to use up as much yarn as possible — ideal for treasured skeins and leftovers alike.
The pattern includes 4 sizes based on stitch counts of:
60 (64) 68 (72) stitches
Materials:
• Sock yarn with a meterage of approx. 400–420 m per 100 g
• Needles: 2.25 mm for the main body and 2.0 mm for cuffs and toes
Techniques used:
• Judy’s Magic Cast On
• German short rows
• Increases and decreases
• Knitting in the round (magic loop or DPNs)
• Stockinette stitch
Whether you love colourful yarns, relaxing vanilla knitting, or simply want a reliable pair of everyday socks, Killa Socks are designed to become a staple on your needles.
