In July, 2021, I released a double-knit scarf design named Amimoji - Nature Scarf. Between the main motifs of Japanese characters, I used some repeated pattern designs that were reminiscent of Japanese Kimono fabric. I liked the designs so much that I decided to make a stand-alone scarf and fingerless mitts patterns with just the pattern motifs.

The motifs are simplified versions of popular Japanese
patterns (gara), often used for Kimono fabric.

  1. Tatewaku (Rising Steam)
  2. Yabane (Arrow feathers)
  3. Ichimatsu (Checkered)
