What you need:
Needles in size to acquire gauge

  • About 100 yards of yarn, either in two colors or one
  • 3 shaft buttons, any size you want
  • some scrap STRETCHY sock yarn (about a yard)
  • yarn needle
  • smaller needle (for sewing buttons on)
  • scissors
  • crochet hook one size larger than needles you are using (for provisional cast-on)

Things you need to know in order to do this pattern:

  • Provisional cast-on
  • Crochet a chain
  • Knit stitch
  • Purl stitch
  • BO in seed stitch
  • Sewing buttons
