Tools
Removable stitch markers, tapestry needle,
waste yarn, 6 buttons. The sample uses ⅝”/ 15
mm diameter buttons. Choose buttons that
go through the buttonholes rather snugly.

Note
The vest is knitted flat from the top starting
from the back neck. After increases have
been made for shoulders, the back is knitted
to the bottom of the armholes with armhole
shaping. The body is worked straight to the
hem before it is finished with ribbing. The
front shoulders are picked up and worked
separately before they are joined at the
front neck. The front is then worked the
same way as the back to the hem. Armholes
are finished with ribbing, Along each side,
button bands are worked. Finally, the neck is
finished with ribbing.

The stitch pattern consists of repetitions of
“knit 3 stitches together through the back
loop”. A yarn with good elasticity will make
a smoother knitting process than a yarn
with little elasticity.

If you are using a yarn with good elasticity
such as Amirisu Swing, before blocking, your
vest may look smaller than it is intended to
be. After soaking and while it is wet, the vest
may seem to stretch a lot. Carefully block
your vest to measurements in the schematic
to keep the intended size and shape after the
vest is dry. It is important to make a swatch in
Braid Stitch pattern to understand how your
gauge differs before and after blocking.

径15 mmのボタンを使用. ボタンホールを通る大きさのボ
タンを選ぶこと.

Note
ベストは後ろ襟から編み始め, トップダウンで往復編みで
編む. 肩の増目をしたら, 後ろ身頃の袖ぐりを増目しながら
袖下まで編む. 身頃は裾まで増減なしに編み, 裾のゴム編み
で仕上げる. 前身頃は肩の目を拾い, 前襟をつなげるまでは
別々に編む. それから後ろ身頃と同様に裾まで編む. 袖ぐり
はゴム編みで仕上げる, 両脇に沿って, ボタンバンドを編ん
で, 最後に襟をゴム編みで仕上げる.

模様編みは右上3目一度のねじり目 (表目) の繰り返しで編
む. 弾力のある糸で編めば編みやすい.

amirisuのSwingのように弾力のある糸を使うと, ブロッキ
ング前は, ベストが意図したサイズよりも小さく見えるか
もしれないが水通しをすると, かなり伸びる. 乾いて意図し
たサイズ, 形になるように, 寸法通り, 注意してブロッキン
グする. ブロッキング前後でゲージがどれぐらい変わるか
を確かめるため, Braid Stitch模様のスワッチ を必ず編む
こと.
