Kissankello is Finnish for Hare Bell flower which bloom all summer in Finland.

Kissankello Socks are knitted toe-up and in the round. The foot and leg part have a hare bell flower inspired floral bobble and lace pattern with twisted knit and 2-stitch-cable pillars. The heel is worked as a German Short Row Heel and the cuff is worked in twisted ribbing.

Circumference around the foot 19 (20) 21,5 cm / 7 (8) 8.75 inches. Length of the foot is adjustable.

Yarn:
The sample is knit with 1 skein of Lumo Silky Sock by Kaarama Lankastudio (60% Blue Face Leicester, 20% silk, 20% nylon, 300 m / 328 yds per 100 g) in the colourway Kissankello. The yarn is no longer available but you may susbstitute with following yarn alternatives:

BFL Silky Sock or MCN by laurelknits yarns
Tuuma or Aate by Aara Yarns
Merino Sport Sock by Wool Me Once Fibers
Tukuwool Sock by Tukuwool
Sisu by Sandnes Garn

or approximately 250–300 m / 273–328 yds of light sport/sport weight sock yarn for mid-length cuff. 300–350 m / 328–383 yds for full length cuff

Needles:
2.25 mm / US 1 circular needles with Ø 80 cm / 32-inch-long cable. Always use a needle size that gets you to the gauge.

Note! The pattern is written for Magic Loop technique, but you can also use DPNs (double pointed needle).

Notions:
Cable needle (if needed), two stitch markers and tapestry needle.

Kissankello-sukat ovat nimensä mukaisesti saaneet inspiraationsa kesällä kukkivista kissankelloista.

Kissankello-sukat on neulottu kärjestä varteen sport-vahvuisella langalla, jossa sukkien vartta ja jalkateräosuutta koristaa pitsineulekuvion sekä nyppyjen muodostamat kukkakuviot. Kantapään muotoilu on tehty tiimalasikantapäällä (German Short Row Heel) ja varren resoriosa on päätelty italialaisella päättelyllä (Tubular Bind-Off).
