The companion piece to the Knightsbridge shawl, the cardigan is worked from the top down with a round-yoke construction. The same mesh Birdseye lace used in the shawl is featured around the yoke, hem, and cuffs. The button band is also worked in Birdseye lace, which creates its own buttonholes! Therefore, you can use as many or as few buttons as you choose.
