This is not a beginner pattern and needs knowledge of both knitting and crochet as it combines the two. The body is knitted and it has a crochet lace trim.

These instructions are specific to Stylecraft Charm yarn.

It is worked from the neck down and a long circular needle is used, but knitted as if using 2 needles. It makes the increases for the raglan easier to see. However, 2 needles can be used if you prefer.

It uses one full ball and only a small amount of a second ball for the larger sizes. If you to keep it to one ball, just make a ribbon instead of a crochet chain tie.
