It is a double knit weigh knitted poncho with lots of potential for adapting to your own colourways and stripe sequences.

The pattern has lots of pictures and features unique braids with details instructions for completion.

You will need:
Four 100g balls King Cole DK Bramble Chestnut yarn
One 100g balls Stylecraft Special DK in each of Walnut, Camel, Stone, Parchment, Gold and Gingerbread

1 pair UK 9/3.75mm straight knitting needles or 24’’/60cm size UK9/3.75 circular knitting needle
Set 4 double-pointed UK9/3.75 knitting needles if desired for working neck
1 UK8/4mm crochet hook

2 stitch markers (or lengths of yarn for marking)

4 or 5 holders – clothes pegs or similar

Large-eyed sewing needle

The pattern is as much of a ‘ how to’ as a set of instructions.

I hope you have lots of fun making lots of variations.

An added note - To get the length right for “you” (everyone is a slightly different height). Sew up the neckband and neck shaping, then, when you get to about round 50 try it on and judge how many more rounds you will need to reach down to wrist with arms at your side. I have a taller friend and she needed 4 rows more than recommended by the pattern, a shorter person may need less.

The total yardage you need of each colour will depend on the colour combinations you use.
