Difficulty level: Intermediate. You need to know basic knitting skills and terms and be familiar with the Intarsia method of color changing and how to read a chart.

some notes from the Mama Bear:
If you want larger sizes try different size needles and/or heavier yarn. I have made 12 month thru child sizes using a heavier worsted weight yarn, such as Mary Maxim’s Starlight, Vanna’s Choice, Hobby Lobby’s “I love this yarn” or RedHeart’s Love yarn with larger needles. Any nice soft worsted weight yarn will do. I also realize that there are different brands of fun fur/eyelash yarn available. I happen to just like the Lion Brand the best and you don’t really need that much of it anyway. I would think a yard would be more than enough. You can also leave the hair tuft off the top, but I like it and most cows do have some sort of a hair tuft on top of their head!
