Knitted Sampler Knot
Instructions for a simple knitted knot. Worked as one long strand, then tied together.
Gauge Any size (large or small) will do. Relative gauge is important, though: 20 rows should be about as long as 10 stitches.
Yardage This is a small piece, ballpark 50 m main color.
Instructions Knitting and assembly instructions are given explicitly, with lots of photos.
Techniques The piece is mostly made in garter stitch, with chain cast-on and one row of purls. We use running stitch markers made from scrap yarn to keep track of different locations along the strand.
The piece is secured by sewing.
Difficulty Suitable for an advanced beginner. There are no fancy techniques, but there are a lot of stitches to keep track of.
