Is there a gnome in your home? Or is there a gnome in your local yarn shop? The idea for Lady Gnome was born out of the store front window contest in town. (Snohomish, WA) Each year the downtown stores create a window themed “Gnomes”. It was only fitting that the yarn shop have a knitting gnome, so here she is! Using yarn scraps, she came to life.

The base is a quart mason jar. (it can also be stuffed if desired) Hat, body and dress are made individually then assembled. Her hair is small skein of yarn to look like hair. I made small labels from my yarn shop yarn as an advertisement for the shop. This is so much fun to make and you will want to make many for yourself and gifts for friends. Maybe give to your local yarn shop.

GIFT IDEAS: Fill jar with cookie mix, hot coco mix, yarn etc.
