One of my favorite yarn is tweed and all the possibilities it holds. Leaf and Bounds Poncho is one of those ideas that just blooms as you start to knit. I started with the leaf cable and built on it from there. New ideas grow just like the leaves on a tree.

Leaf and Bounds is worked flat in sections then joined together and finished with ribbing and I-cord.

I was looking for a different take on the standard poncho. I like the way Leaf and Bounds falls over the shoulder but not so heavy that it weighs you down. It’s soft and flows nicely over the body. Warm but light, just right for those days between seasons.
