Looks woven, but all done with slipped stitches.

Very quick and effective.

Knitted flat and then a small seam is worked to close the two ends.

TIP - block flat before seaming - this is shown in the photo on page 1, but I forgot to mention it specifically - that way you can determine exactly how wide to leave the opening - it also makes blocking much easier.

The pattern is listed as DK weight, but is written in a flexible way so that you can use any weight of yarn.

It would be possible to knit a large shawl with allover motif, but if I were to do that, I’d want to change the start - it’s not been tested yet, but I’ve written some tips here - link to thread
