Kokko Beanie
Kokko Beanie was created when Johanna from Johannas Garn asked if I could design a hat for her yarn. This request inspired the idea of a pattern specifically designed for multicolored fingering-weight yarn. I wanted to create a beanie where the yarn itself takes center stage, so I chose a simple rib stitch that allows the colors and shades to shine and highlights the beauty of the yarn without distractions.
Kokko Beanie is a double-knit beanie designed for fingering-weight yarn. The hat is worked in the round as a tube. The work begins at the crown, is knit down to the brim, and then turned back upward to create a double-layered structure. The hat is finished with crown decreases.
The hat is cast on using the Magic Ring technique, which creates a neat and tight start.
