VERY IMPORTANT: this pattern is designed to be worked with NUTIDEN or PLOTTULOPI yarn. If substituting for aran-weight yarn, make sure to use that held single.

Finished bust circumference: 101 (107, 111.5, 116.5) (122, 129.5, 140) (145, 155.5, 164.5) cm 40.4 (42.8, 44.6, 46.6) (48.8, 51.8, 56) (58, 62.2, 65.8)”

Nutiden by Honer och Eir (100% wool, woolen spun). This yarn comes in plates of approximately 100 grams each.

Yardage: Yardage: 520 (550, 580, 620) (630, 660, 680) (720, 730, 760) grams of Nutiden. Yarn is held double throughout.

If working the pattern to coat length, you’ll need to add more grams per size.

It is very difficult to estimate yardage for unspun yarn. The following numbers are solely an estimation if substituting for a regular Aran-weight yarn 971 (1050, 1130, 1220) (1290, 1370, 1450) (1550, 1650, 1800) Meters 1,062, 1,150, 1,240, 1,325) (1,410, 1495, 1590) (1690, 1790, 1890) yards

The sample is knit in size 2 with 16 cm (6”) of positive ease.

Kume is a seamless open-front cardigan. The pattern includes options for being worked at coat or cardigan length, according to your liking.

It also features instructions to be worked in the round (the coat is then steeked at the end) or flat (in case you’d rather not cut your knitting). It features a cable detail at the side seams and sleeves and a folded neck for extra warmth. The button band is picked up along the edges and up to the collar.

The garment is knit on a whim on large needles in the softest, most special yarn I’ve ever seen- pure joy from Honer och Eir in gorgeous colorways. The fabric is soft and delicate after blocking, worked in the prettiest pink shade.
