Gold represents 50 years of marriage, Silver 25, but few know that 13 years is the Lace Anniversary. After 13 years of marriage the bond of a couple is stronger and more beautiful than ever. The Lace Anniversary Lap Blanket symbolises comfort, security and warmth, representing how couples’ lives become intricately woven together.
The Lace Anniversary Lap Blanket is perfect for covering the knees, small in size but useful for so many things: it is a perfect choice for snuggling, or to pop over on a chilly evening.

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner (easy).
Stitches used: k, p, yo, k2tog, ssk, p2tog, ssp. The pattern comes with written instructions and Lace Chart.

MATERIALS REQUIRED
• 12 x 50 g balls (1800 m or 1969 yds), using Drops Air 01 (Off White Uni colour shade) yarn 2 strands held together.
You can use any other substitute yarn as there no need to follow the gauge for this blanket.
• 1 Circular needle 7.00 mm x 80 cm (US 10 ¾).
• 1 Tapestry needle. GAUGE (tension) using 2 strands held together: 11 sts and 15 rows = 10 cm (4”) measured over Garter st, blanket being blocked, using 7.00 mm (US 10 ¾) needle. NB Gauge is not crucial for this pattern.

MEASUREMENTS AFTER BLOCKING
130 (width) x 115 (length) cm/ 51 x 45 ¼‘’.
NB Your size depends on your gauge.

One pattern repeat in width/length is 14 x 8.5 cm/ 5 ½ x 3 ½’’ after blocking. If you want your blanket to be wider/longer, work more repeats in width/length. The quantities given are for a lap blanket, so adjust yarn amounts accordingly.
