I designed this pattern to incorporate a Double Vertical Decrease.

I knit a little tight and had 2-1/4 yards left over. If you wish to make this pattern longer or wider, you will need more yarn. If you choose a different yarn, you may get a different gauge and size to your cowl.

I used a size 7-24” circular needle and 23 stitch markers, having the BOR (beginning of round) different than the others.

I have included a detailed picture of the Double Vertical Decrease to assist you in doing this decrease. I tried to keep my stitches a little looser to do this decease with ease.
