These socks were inspired by Lagertha from the “Vikings” television show and represent the intricate braids and twists in her hair.

They feature cuff-down construction, an eye of partridge flap heel and gusset decreases moved away from the instep in a 64 or 72 stitch size.

The pattern is both fully written & charted and the charts are given in both a coloured and black/white version. It is set up so that only 2 pages are needed for any size/ pattern style combination.

Stitches used: k2tog, ssk, ktbl and pfb. There are also 2 twist stitches - right twist (RT) and left twist (LT) which are made without a cable needle. Both are explained in the pattern.

Errata - the first RT on round 5 of the charts should be a LT. Corrected pattern sent July 28, 2014
