Gauge is not important except for estimating yarn yardage; you may use the yarn and hook you desire. The pattern is worked in rounds without turning the work. I chose to create a 36” square baby blanket, but this can easily be made larger or smaller. I used six skeins of Lion Brand Feels Like Butta in Perwinkle. The pattern has a repeat of three rounds, once the initial pattern is begun. There is a simple pattern for a border to square off the sides, but this is optional. It also creates a straight edge on which to add a fancier border, if you wish. This pattern may be challenging for someone who has not had a lot of experience reading patterns; however, the stitches themselves are simple: single crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, chain, slip stitch. Once you get the hang of the pattern, it is repetitious and works up quickly.
