Lakeshore is a crescent-shaped shawl with increases at the beginning and end of each row. It is worked using two different yarn (and/or two colors) alternating them to create a ripple-like effect. The shawl uses stripes, dropped stitches and lace to create the pattern.

Lakeshore was originally published as a stand-alone PDF. Now included in my book A Little Book of Moon-Inspired Shawls. The versions are worked in different yarns.

Materials:
• Yarn: MC: 2 balls of Knitting for Olive Merino (100% extra fine merino; 273 yds / 250 m – 50 g). Or approx. 410 yds / 375 m of fingering weight yarn.
CC: 2 balls of Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair (70% mohair, 30% silk; 246 yds / 225 m – 25 g). Or approx. 369 yds / 337 m of lace weight yarn.
• Needles: 3.5 mm / US 4 circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge.

The silver sample was knit for the book in Knitting for Olive Merino in the colourway Oatmeal (MC) and Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair in Linen (CC). The earlier blue sample was knit with Lanitium ex Machina BFL Sock Twist in Corner of No and Where (MC) and Solstice Luna Sock in Pipers Piping (CC).

15 sts x 24 rows = 10 cm / 4” in garter stitch, after blocking (silver sample).
