The Lampshade Cowl is a fun and fuzzy accessory that knits up really quickly. It is knit top down in the round, starting with a foldover edge on the top, then working in pattern stitch and gradually increasing to form the point in the front, and ending with a ribbed hem.

Gauge
Pattern stitch on larger needles: 20 sts by 37 rows = 4” (10 cm).

Materials
Yarn: 1 strand fingering weight superwash merino held with 1 strand of suri alpaca.

Sample used Totally Rad Yarn Sweet Sparkle base in colorway Fruit Roll Up and As If base in Candy Apple.

Yardage
Yardage calculation includes approximately 5% excess.
Fingering Yardage: 248 yards or 228 meters.
Lace Yardage: 227 yards or 208 meters.

Needles:
US 3 (3.25mm) circular needles for neckband.
US 5 (3.75mm) circular needles for body.
