The Langue de Chat is a garter-stitch scarf with charming rounded ends. You can knit it as a cozy tippet, a chic mini scarf, or extend it to your ideal length. Optional cords can be added, with instructions provided for both an I-cord and a crochet cord. Video tutorials are included.

ＦＩＮＩＳＨＥＤ ＳＩＺＥＳ
Finished width:
17.5 (19) cm / 7 (7½)” with gauge 1
16 (17.5) cm / 6½ (7)” with gauge 2

Finished length: You can knit to your desired length. Tippets are typically 50–60 cm and scarves 90–180 cm, depending on preference.

Gauge 1: 11 sts & 17 rows = 10 cm/4” with 7 mm in garter st
Gauge 2: 12 sts & 18.5 rows = 10 cm/4” with 6.6 mm in garter st

ＮＥＥＤＬＥＳ
6.5 mm to 7 mm —Choose the needle size that gives you the suggested gauge. The sample uses Japanese needle sizing.
Optional for cord: Needles or a hook —Choose the size that best suits your yarn. I chose needle/hook sizes between 5 and 5.4 mm.

Langue de Chat (ラングドシャ/猫の舌)は、猫の舌のような丸みのある端がかわいらしいガーター編みのスカーフです。ティペットからマフラーまで、お好みの長さに調整して編むことができます。オプションのコード(紐)は、I-cordとかぎ針編みコードの2種類の作り方を紹介しています。動画解説リンク付き。
