Last Days of Summer is a fun and super-versatile cowl, using a set of five 20g mini skeins and knit in the round using the helical or helix knitting technique to blend blocks of colour with perfect jogless micro stripes for a gorgeous fade.

I deliberately made this cowl a bit longer and thinner than usual - 25cm (10in) wide and 45cm (18in) long - because I wanted something that sat snug on the neck, perfect for those late summer days where there’s a bit of a chill in the air. If you prefer a wider fit, cast on more stitches in multiples of two. Bear in mind that the wider you make the cowl, the more yarn you will use. You may have to adjust your number of rounds accordingly.
