ABOUT: Worked from the cuff down, these toasty socks feature simple cables. And just when the knitting starts feeling a bit monotonous—whoosh! An extra cable cross swoops in to keep you on your toes. A half-handkerchief heel is used in the pattern, but any heel-flap-and-gusset construction can be substituted.
