This pattern is written in US terms. It assumes a basic understanding of crochet stitches and techniques. Rows are worked in the round.

Each version of the hot pad or coaster requires two colors of yarn. You choose the filling color based on which pie you want to make: Mixed Berry Pie, Cherry Pie, Blueberry Pie, or Peach Pie.

All of the specific yarn brand color names are included in the pattern for each version. So if you want to re-create the exact color combination that is shown in the images you can do that.

Finished dimensions may vary depending on stitch tightness. Following these instructions, my finished hot pad is ~8.5 inches in diameter & my coaster is ~4.5 inches in diameter.

WARNING: ONLY use natural fibers to make a hot pad because of their ability to absorb water and heat. Do NOT use synthetic fibers (i.e. plastic) as it can melt when exposed to extreme heat. These hot pads & coasters are double thick to protect from heat.
