I had always associated lavender with France. When I came to Italy the first time, during summer, I was happily surprised to find lavender flowers here and there in the small old villages. Particularly in Tuscany, there are villages that seem to live on lavender.

I love the scent of the lavender flowers. The small, delicate flowers are the main role in this tee. The stems grow seamlessly from the hem ribbing creating a beautiful detail to the otherwise simple garment. The round neckline and short sleeves make this tee a timeless piece in your wardrobe.

2.5 mm (US 1.5) – 60 – 100 cm / 24 – 40” circular needles, or as required to obtain gauge. If preferred, DPNs for small circumference knitting.

Gauge
25 sts x 33 rnds = 10 cm /4” with 2.5 mm (US 1.5) needles in both Lavanda lace and stockinette st in the round after blocking.

Notions
1 st marker, 3 st holders / spare cables or scrap yarn, spare needle (can be smaller than gauge needle), tapestry needle.
Optional: st markers for pattern repeats.

Techniques used
Old Norwegian cast on, knitting in the round, basic lace knitting, knitting flat, German short rows, Italian Tubular BO, Three needle BO, picking up sts.

The pattern is both charted and written.
The pattern has been professionally tech edited and it has been test knit.
Sizes 2XL, 3XL, 3XL2, 4XL and 5XL haven’t been tested. If you’d like to test one of these sizes, please contact me in private!
