“Layer me in Stripes Cardigan” is a striped cardigan worked in a raglan construction. Using a cotton-blend yarn, it is perfectly suited for the transitional seasons and warmer weather. A special feature is the striped button band, along with cuffs finished in a combination of ribbing and an I-cord edge.

The cardigan is worked top down in one piece, with color changes every four rows throughout. It begins with raglan increases to shape the sleeves. At the same time, the V-neckline is formed with additional increases. Once the raglan increases are complete, the sleeves are separated, and the body is worked flat in rows. The sleeves are then worked in the round. Finally, the button band, including the buttonholes, is worked in double knitting.

The cardigan is designed with approximately 20–30 cm of positive ease. If you prefer more or less ease, simply knit one size larger or smaller. The cardigan shown in the photo was knitted in size 2 with 30 cm of positive ease.

4.0 mm US 6nd 120 cm long) 16’’ and 48’’ long and

Gauge:
20 sts and 30 rows (= 10x10 cm 2.5 x 2.5 in) knitted in stockinette stitch on 4.0 mm US 6 needles after blocking
