These simple booties are knit flat and seamed. Then a few rows of icord is worked separately, and then worked flat to create the leaf, which is sewn to the front of the booties.

increase by lifting stitch below onto the needle and knitting it
i-cord (explained)

Needles: US 7 You need 2 dpns for the i-cord used to start the leaf. Otherwise, they can be knit entirely on straight needles.

Any worsted weight yarn, including acrylic, will be fine. The light green pair is made with Twist cotton, the blue-green pair with a discontinued yarn called Tahki Kashmir.

I designed these to accompany my Greenleaf Baby hat.

The first person I gave a pair to said maybe it was hormones, but they were so cute they made her cry!
