Want to add some nature inspired whimsy to your summer reading?
Then this Leafy Bookmark is for you =)

Finished dimensions:
If you use thin sock/fingering weight yarn and 2,5mm needles the finished product will end up being about 32cm long. Really you can make these with any yarn, but i do recommend using a thin yarn, as the thicker ones just don’t work well as bookmarks.

Sizes:
You can make the middle section as long as you need it to fit your book.

Yarn:
Any thin yarn will work. I used light fingering or lace weight.

Needle:
Whatever needle fits your yarn and gauge. I used light fingering weight yarn with 2,5mm needles.

Skill level:
Eager beginner to intermediate

You should know how to…

• knit in the round with a small amount of sts - either with dpns, magic loop, two circular needles or whatever you prefer.
• work increases such as m1l, yo
• work decreases such as ssk and k2tog
• how to use a provisional cast on

If you know most of these techniques , but are missing one or two: don’t worry, most of these are easily learned from a youtube video. This pattern might still be doable for you.

You will need:

• 3 dpns or a circular needle of whatever size fits your yarn
• some thread or a circular needle for the provisional cast-on
• a needle to weave in the ends.
• scissors
• a measuring tape
