The stitch pattern used for this shawl is a variation of the Drooping Elm Leaf stitch from Barbara Walker’s A Treasury of Knitting Patterns (page 217). I modified it to make the leaves larger. The shawl is knit end to end with a border of seed stitch. The length can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the number of times you work Chart 2. The width can be adjusted by changing the number of times you do the repeat.

I used a handspun, lace weight yarn of merino, camel, bond, silk, and Angelina.

Warning - the pattern has not been test knitted by anyone other than myself so there may be errors. Please let me know if you find any and I will post a corrected version. Please make sure you have the most recent version. Thanks.
