A friend turned me onto the PC game ‘Scarlet Nexus’ awhile back. I was immediately drawn in by the unique monster designs and the amazing story line. After playing it for a few hours, I decided I needed to create my own brand of creepy monsters inspired heavily by the game.

The pattern contains 20 pages of instructions and pictures to make the best Leggy Monster you can! This pattern is best for an intermediate beginner, but with a little bit of know-how, almost anyone can make this creepily elegant creature.

Materials:
• Acrylic yarn in a variety of colors (I’ve used lace thread, Amigurumi yarn and regular ol’ worsted weight to make this pattern and they’ve all turned out excellent).
• Crochet hook a half to full size smaller than recommended by the yarn in order to help keep the gaps closed (if your tension is naturally tight, you can use the recommended hook size).
• Stuffing (scrap ends of yarn, polyfil, bits of cut up cloth… really, almost anything works as stuffing!)
• Scissors
• Pins to hold body parts in place – optional?
• Darning needle for sewing in ends and attaching pieces
• A dowel or pencil (for stuffing purposes) – optional but oh so helpful!

Notes:
• Unless indicated, all pieces are worked around in a row until the end. To finish off a row, slip stitch into the first stitch.
• Pattern is written in US terms.
• Unless indicated, use the same color of yarn throughout the body building process. Unless you don’t want to. That choice is up to you.
• When it comes to stuffing: in order for the pattern to hold its shape while standing, it must be stuffed firm. The feet and ankles are the weakest points on this leggy monster, so be gentle and patient when it comes time to stuff them.
• It may not feel like it in the moment, but the dress and shoes WILL fit the monster. With a little creative hook leverage and a bit of determination, the leggy monster will be snazzily dressed in no time!
• You cannot sell the pattern, but feel free to sell any Amigurumi you make from it!
• Finally, a legal notice – I do not own the BANDAI NAMCO brand or characters.
