The Lemon Bucket Hat is an intermediate crochet pattern worked primarily in single crochet with a 5mm hook with tapestry crochet to design the lemon motif. The result is a light classical bucket shaped hat.

SIZE: The size is adult size with the possibility to adjust size adding or decreasing rows to the crown. The main size (adult) is set for head size circumference 56-58 cm.

GAUGE: The gauge is calculated by working a swatch flat in single crochet with 2 strands of the cotton and 5mm needles = 16 stitches x 18 rows in 10cm.

YARN: It is worked with 2 strands of sport weight mercerised cotton held together, in 3 colour ways: 1 colour for the main part, 1 colour for the lemon design and 1 colour for the stripes and details.

** if you use Hobbii Rainbow yarn 8/8 you can use it single not double**

Total number of skeins is 2 for col.A (main colour) used in its entirety, 2 skeins for col.B (lemon colour), half skeins can work, and 2 skeins for col.C (leaves and stripes)

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO USE WHATEVER COTTON YOU PREFER AS LONG AS IT FITS GAUGE.
Tension varies significantly from one person to another, modify hook or yarn type depending on your gauge or if result is too small try to loosen tension and vice-versa.
