Leon vs Matilda is a timeless unisex hat worked seamlessly from the bottom up in classic 1×1 ribbing. The soft, springy and elastic fabric fits comfortably, keeps its shape beautifully and makes the hat perfect for everyday wear.
The pattern includes two brim options: a single-folded and double-folded brims.

Sizes:
To fit head circumference:
52–54 / 55–57 / 58–60 cm

Yarn:

  • 1 skein of Jody Long Alba — 50% merino wool, 25% alpaca, 25% viscose; 350 m / 100 g;
  • 2 skeins of Kremke Merry Merino 140 GOTS — 100% merino wool; 140 m / 50 g. Approximate total yardage: 280–350 m.

Needles and tools:

  • 3.0 mm circular needles with a 40 or 50 cm cable, or the size needed to obtain gauge;
  • 3.0 mm double-pointed needles, or circular needles with an 80–100 cm cable;
  • stitch markers;
  • tapestry needle;
  • scissors;
  • measuring tape.

Gauge:
26–28 sts = 10 cm 1×1 ribbing after washing and blocking.
