The Letter Sweater is worked top-down. We begin with the neckline ribbing – first decreasing stitches, then working the neckline fold. After that, the ribbing is increased back to the original stitch count and joined with purl stitches. Next, we place the raglan markers and work the short rows (German short rows), which shape the yoke. From there, we continue into the body and sleeves.Once the desired yoke depth is reached, the sleeves are separated and set aside. The front and back of the body are then joined, adding stitches under the arms. The body is finished with ribbing (the last two rows are worked in double knitting). Finally, the sleeves are worked, and the chosen letter or letters or numbers are embroidered using the chart. You can also leave the swetaer without any letters! I really love the idea with word on the sweater but it’s up to YOU!

About sizing:
The sizes are designed to fit bust circumferences of 86 91(96)101 (106)111(116) cm. Since the sweater is intended to have approx. 10 cm of positive ease, the actual garment measurements are 96 101(106)111 (116)121(126) cm. All dimensions are unisex, meaning they are suitable for both women and men. Modifications are included: the women’s version has a straight fit, while the men’s version tapers slightly towards the hem. Sizes increase in 5 cm increments. For example, if your bust measures 105 cm and you knit size 5, you will have 11 cm of ease. I recommend keeping this positive ease, especially for the women’s version—the embroidered letter will lie more gracefully.

If You plan to use different yarn please measure your sleeves and body length! It is written directly for FONTY yarn!
