Levitate is a poncho made up of two rectangles seamed together. This poncho has lace patterning on both the right side and wrong side. You can work this poncho in different yarn and color combinations. Each rectangle of the pattern sample is worked in a different self-striping yarn. Try a solid and self-striping combo or a solid and variegated combo. Have fun trying different combinations as the possibilities are endless!

You have a choice of two finishing options. You can seam the pieces together (Finishing Option 1). Or you can do a 3-needle bind-off to assemble the poncho (Finishing Option 2). The three-needle bind-off creates a ridge on the outside of the poncho, giving a nice, decorative finish to the seam. Refer to instructions for Finishing Options before beginning your poncho to decide which option you prefer.

This pattern has a photo tutorial and schematic.

Yarn note: Noro Kureopatora can be considered a heavy DK/light worsted. If you are using a true DK and are not getting gauge, consider knitting the next size up.

Swatch yarn and extra yarn are included in the yarn requirement.
