Spring awakening…

when sun rises higher and sends more warmth to earth, it doesn’t take nature long to wake up. Soon tiny bright green buds grow into fresh new leaves. Blossoms cover the lanes and this certain smell is in the air. Walking into the woods at that time of year is so special.

This shawl’s colors remind me of fresh spring, a shady clearing, bright sky and birds singing in the trees.

The crescent shawl is worked by using increases, changing knitting directions and working short rows to keep it interesting. A simple three-colored lace edging gives it this fresh spring like appearance.
