I don’t think it’s a coincidence that quotes with the word “peach” in them usually have something to do with how good — or sweet — life is. What could be better than eating a fresh, juicy peach, after all? OK, maybe knitting a great pair of socks that are as satisfying to wear as they are to knit.

Life’s a Peach Socks are worked from the top down with an eye-of-partridge heel. Simple knits and purls create a slubbed texture that reminds me of peach flesh after the stone is removed. Raised columns of stitches that are knit into the stitch below are the sweet juice dripping down from the cuff. These stitches gently scallop the top edge, mimicking the soft cheeks of the fruit. Let these socks put you in a positive frame of mind as you go about your day. Sometimes, life does go your way. And then there’s pie.
