Worked seamlessly in the round, this cowl features mosaic (slip-stitch) knitting using just knit and slipped stitches
to create bold, graphic designs with minimal effort. Because only one color is worked at a time, the technique
avoids the complexity of stranded colorwork, making it approachable and rhythmic.
The smooth, springy merino of Bloomsbury DK gives excellent stitch definition, and using two highly contrasting
colors makes the geometric pattern really pop—resulting in a cowl that is both visually striking and wonderfully
soft to wear. Perfect for curling up with a warm drink or knitting in a quiet, cozy moment.
The pattern includes charts and full written instructions, so you can choose which you prefer to work from.
MATERIALS
Shown in: The Yarn collective, Bloomsbury DK weight: 100% Superwash Merino Wool, 240m / 263yds / 100g /
3.53oz. Colours Indigo and Stormy Grey.
120 m /131 yds / 50g per colour when made in Bloomsbury DK.
Yarn Choice: When choosing your colours, it is important to have a good contrast (light vs dark, or completely
different colours). The pattern is best suited to solid or semi solid colours. Resist the temptation to buy two yarns
that complement each other because they share colours in common as the pattern will be quickly lost. Likewise, if
you want to use a variegated yarn, make it a bold one, and the other skein a vastly different solid neutral shade.
