You start with the rip pattern and test the width - than the illusion pattern starts in 6 parts - 3 with red dominant, 3 with brown dominant by garter stitches which cast their shadows over stockinette stitches.

In the beginning youll increase the stitches, after a small rip pattern in brown youll decrease again till there are just the stitches for a tiny optional icord left.
