Light and Lines
Light and Lines celebrates the beauty of lace in an easy-to-wear pullover. The Gothic Arches stitch pattern creates repeating columns of eyelets and decreases, reminiscent of light filtering through cathedral windows. Once you become familiar with the repeat, the lace offers a satisfying rhythm as the pattern develops.
Lace covers the front and back, framed by reverse stockinette stitch. The sleeves are worked in reverse stockinette, allowing the lace to remain the focus. Ribbing finishes the hem, cuffs, and neckline.
CONSTRUCTION
The sweater is worked flat from the bottom up in separate pieces and seamed during finishing. German short rows shape the shoulders, and stitches are picked up around the neckline for the ribbed neckband.
Sizes XS through L include increases above the underarm to add width across the upper body. Sizes 1X through 4X continue straight.
