This hat is knit using DK-weight yarn in one colour, from the bottom-up or from the top-down. It features a folded brim, deliciously squishy waffle texture, and a light amount of slouchiness that is easily customizable to suit your taste.

SIZES
Baby (Child, Adult Small, Adult Large) to fit 17 (19, 21, 23)”/43 (48, 53, 58) cm head circumference.

YARN
Approximately 160 (180, 210, 230) yards/146 (165, 192, 210) meters DK-weight yarn (or two strands of fingering-weight yarn held together with double the yardage).

SUGGESTED NEEDLES
US 6/4.0 mm, or size needed to obtain gauge, 16”/40 cm circular needle and DPNs or long circular needles for the “magic loop” method

GAUGE
24 sts and 36 rows per 4”/10 cm measured over waffle stitch pattern knit in the round, after blocking
