Lightning
Lightning asymmetrical triangular shawl with zigzag lace. The lace pattern is simple and resembles lightning. You knit from one corner to the opposite edge, creating a slightly asymmetric triangle shape.
This shawl was inspired by an adventure I had. One summer years ago, it was very hot and the trains were late. My husband called me in the evening, missed the last train and asked me to pick him up in the next town. When I got in the car, I could already see a storm was brewing and I was going to drive straight into it. By the time I got there, it was pouring. And on the way home, we were racing the storm: thunder and lightning were zigzagging to the right, left and behind us. And when we walked through the door on the way home, “the sky fell behind us”. It was terrifying, but also majestic. Tie your scarf and take it with you, you’ll see: it will drive away the thunderstorms!
