In the Cashmere Light, it knits up as a soft ethereal hat that looks marvelous with a big fluffy pompom.

In the heavier yarns, you get a thicker, heavier hat that is great for both men and women with or without a pompom.

The stitch gauge is important, but the row gauge is very flexible since you knit to inches, not rows.
