A mandala-style beret, with a crochet ribbing-style edging to allow for the perfect fit. Instructions are also included to allow customisation of the rim area to allow for fit adjustments. Available in UK crochet terminology. This pattern is suited to advanced crocheters.

Materials

3.5mm crochet hook

This pattern was designed using Kosy Kitchen Fibres Merino Silk, in Cavoli. This yarn is fingering weight; 50% superwash merino, 50% silk. If using this yarn you will need 1 skein. Alternatively, you will need approximately 240m of fingering weight yarn.

Gauge and sizing

The final band size of this beret can be adjusted to fit, instructions are included in the pattern. The gauge for this is 20 stitches and 12 rows of treble crochet (UK)/double crochet (US) per 10cm.

The finished beret is approximately 27cm in diameter.

This is an advanced pattern that includes post stitches, working into the sides of stitches, and working into the third loop of stitches. I would highly recommend using stitch markers for the central motif section of this design.
