Named after my niece Lily, just like the beanie she is cute, cheeky and full of charm.

Knit in the round bottom up, and with a seamed double brim for comfort, this beanie has a playful popcorn stitch that adds personality. The crown is tapered off neatly using double pointed needles for a flattering shape and snug fit.
There is a prompt before tapering off to make the beanie longer into more of a slouch style, if preferred. Beanie is made to fit an average adult head.

Materials :
• 12ply Bendigo Woollen Mills, Wollemi (corriedale) or Classic yarn, 78 grams/102metres. Extra if you opt to make the beanie longer. I’ve used Wollemi, limited edition release, in paperbark.
Any 12ply/bulky/chunky with similar gauge should be fine.
• 6mm, 16” circular needle, or preferred method for knitting in the round
• Stitch marker
• 6mm double pointed needles (for decreasing)
• Darning needle

Techniques:
Knit.
Purl.
Knit working yarn with cast on edge to form a double brim.
