Linefall is a long, softly tapered shawl designed for warmth without heaviness.
Wide and airy where the body needs comfort, it narrows gently at the front to reduce bulk, settling naturally around the neck and chest.
The fabric is worked in an open half-fisherman’s rib, creating a light, dimensional texture that feels soft and breathable while retaining warmth.
Subtle lines and evenly spaced stripes introduce quiet rhythm and movement, allowing the shawl to shift and reveal itself differently with each wrap.

Colour A (main fabric): 275 gr.; 1155 metres/1263 yards
Colour B (wide edge line): 1.45 gr.; 6 metres/ 6.6 yards
Colour C (stripes): 9.5 gr.; 40 metres/ 44 yards
Colour D (narrow edge line): 1.2 gr.; 5 metres/ 5.5 yards
~10% excess included.

GAUGE
Main fabric.
Half Fisherman’s Rib: 21 stitches & 40 rows = 10x10 cm (4x4 “) with 3.75 mm (US 5) needle, after blocking.

NEEDLES

Suggested Size: 3 mm (US 2.5) for Italian Tubular Cast-On, and 3 tubular rows.
Suggested Sizes: 3.75 mm (US 5) for the main fabric.
