This pattern introduces a new colorwork technique based on the linen stitch and presents the first stitch in this series - Linen Hearts.

It includes a detailed explanation of the stitch pattern itself, including written instructions, a chart and a photo tutorial. You can use these instructions for any rectangular project (blankets, scarves, etc.).

In addition to the stitch instructions, the pattern includes two cowl designs worked in two different yarn weights (worsted and sport/DK):

  • in the original stitch pattern (light blue cowl)
  • and in a modified version, where the colors alternate to create a slightly different visual rhythm (orange cowl).

★ The pattern has been professionally tech edited
★ Written out and charted, with a photo tutorial on stitches and swatch instructions (suitable for scarves and blankets)
★ Language: English (US crochet terms)
★ Pages: 10

TECHNIQUE
The colorwork stitch pattern is based on the linen (moss) stitch, with some sc replaced by specific stitch.

I create new crochet stitches to show a quieter, softer side of crochet: calm, simple, and casual. My patterns may look unusual at first only because the technique is new to you, just like your first chain or single crochet once was. After a little practice, it feels easy and natural.
