The starry colorwork pattern on the yoke of Linen Leaves Sweater is inspired by “Asanoha”, a traditional Japanese pattern. It means linen leaves in Japanese and represents a wish for children’s healthy growth. When I transformed this motif into colorwork, I paid particular attention to the pattern continuity and its beauty.
The colorwork pattern consists of four or fewer stitches, which means that you don’t need to catch the floats, and is easy to knit. And what is more…the sweater can be put on with wrong side out! Yes, this sweater is reversible and you can wear with either side out following your mood of the day! (How the pattern looks is vary depending on the yarn.)
The instructions in this pattern are in text, and only the colorwork pattern is charted. It comes in 7 sizes.

リネンリーフ セーターのヨークの編み込みは、日本の伝承模様である麻の葉模様を元に、幾何学的な連続の美しさを損なわないように気を付けてデザインしました。
編み込み模様は4目以下の目数で構成されているので、渡り糸の編みくるみなどをする必要がなく、とても編みやすいです。またそれだけでなく、裏側ももう一枚のセーターとして着ることができます！その時の気分に合わせて、表と裏どちらの側も着ることができますよ（模様の見え方は糸によって変わってきます。）。
